IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Due to vendor errors, there was a delay in Adams County Property Tax Notices sent.  The deadline for first payment (only the first payment) has been extended from 02/28/2023 to 03/14/2023.

There are many ways residents can pay and/or manage their property tax payments without visiting the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office:

• Online payments at adcotax.com 
• Over the phone at 720.523.6160, option #1
• Via USPS: Adams County Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office, 4430 S. Adams County Pkwy., Suite W1000, Brighton
• Via the black drop box located outside the main entrance of the Government Center: 4430 S. Adams County Pkwy., Brighton

DELINQUENT TAX NOTICES

In July 2021, the Treasurer sent out approximately 10,000 Delinquent Tax Notices.

If you received a Delinquent Tax Notice and believe that your taxes have been paid in full, please call 720.523.6160. Please leave one voice mail that contains your name, phone number, and property tax account number.  Someone from the Treasury returns each phone call in the order received, so leaving multiple messages may delay your return call.

The Treasury attempts to return phone calls withing 24-hours. During this time, however, please know that it could take up to a week from the time you leave a message to get back to you. Please watch your caller id for a phone call from a 720.523.NNNN number (N being a number).

DELINQUENT TAX NOTICES (en español)

En Julio 2021, El Departamento de Tesorero mando aproximadamente 10,000 aviso de Delinquent Tax Notice.

Si usted ha recibido un Delinquent Tax Noctice y usted tiene entendido que ha pagado todos sus impuestos, por favor de llame al 720.523.6160 por favor de deje un mensaje de voz que diga su nombre, numero telefónico y numero de su cuenta de propiedad. Su mensaje será contestado de acuerdo con el orden recibido. Si deja varios mensajes puede que se retrase el regreso de su llamada.

El departamento de Tesoro trata de regresar sus llamadas durante las próximas 24 hrs. Durante este tiempo sin embargo tiene usted que saber que puede tomar hasta una semana de el tiempo que usted dejo su mensaje en que le regresemos su llamada.

PROPERTY TAXES

Property taxes are collected one year in arrears. In 2022 the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office will collect the 2021 taxes. By June 30th each year, the Treasury Division collects about 95% of all taxes billed. By December 31st, 99.9% of all taxes will be collected.

PROPERTY ADDRESS CORRECTIONS

IMPORTANT:  The Assessor maintains the mailing addresses for tax statement notifications. Click here to print the form.  When completed, mail the form to:

Once the form is input into the Assessor’s system a file transfers the information to the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office, therefore notification of address change to the Treasurer and Public Trustee's Office is not necessary.
